I finished spinning this skein of yarn earlier last week. It is dark teal, blue, and purples. Plied with the color Dionysus on Catwalk that I had left over from a scarf I knit. I based the colors off a Mercy skin (Sugar Plum Fairy) from Overwatch that came out for the holidays.
Well after plying the Sugar Plum Fairy singleI still had some singles left on the bobbin. I also had some single of this last spin on another bobbin. I need bigger bobbins!Well I decided to spin the singles together, but I didn't think I would have enough left over to make anything substantial, sooo I added some silk that I use for making tsumami kanzashi to make this skein:
You can see the dark from the Sugar Plum Fairy fiber and the light from the last spin paired with the pieces of silk cloth strips. I plied it again with a purple to tie it all together color wise. Here are all three skeins:
o the middle skein is left over singles from both the right and left skein paired with some silk fabric. I can't believe how different they all look, from dark and broody to light and ephemeral to the funky. It is so interesting how color and texture can change the feeling of yarn.
